From the Bulletin Board to the Employee App: A Decade of Communication at MB Well Services

Over the past ten years, we have reimagined communication – creating tangible added value for our customers and employees:

What has fundamentally changed in customer communication

  • Sales & Business Development established: A focused yet agile team now maintains contact with our key customers even outside ongoing projects, identifies needs, and builds relationships with new partners.
  • Regular, documented interface meetings: We engage in a systematic exchange with our key customers to clarify expectations, capture lessons learned, and make decisions more quickly together.
  • Video conferences as the standard: Whether site coordination or technical clarifications – virtual meetings accelerate dialogue and make expertise available regardless of location.

What strengthens internal communication

  • Clear responsibilities in Operations: The responsible role has been split between Light Workover (LWO) and Heavy Workover & Drilling (HWO) – ensuring dedicated points of contact and shorter response times.
  • Employee app & info screens on all rigs: Updates and HSE information reach our crews faster; instant notifications are delivered where they are needed most – directly at the rig.
  • Networked across Europe: Collaboration within the MB Group and with sister companies has become closer – knowledge flows faster, processes are aligned, and messages remain consistent.

Our core remains: People. Communication lives through senders and receivers – from toolpushers and drillers to planners and project teams who share information, ask questions, and find solutions together.

With the new name introduced ten years ago, we also fundamentally transformed our external presence. A key step was launching our social media channels – especially LinkedIn. What began as an experiment has now become an integral part of our communication: we share insights and show what defines MB Well Services – for customers, partners, and anyone interested in our industry.

More than 4,500 followers now accompany us on this journey. Thank you to everyone who follows, comments, and helps shape the dialogue.
