Ten Years of Collaboration and Innovation in Europe

The past ten years clearly demonstrate that MB Well Services has deliberately opened itself up to cross-company collaboration. This strategic decision has created new opportunities and strengthened our position in the market.

  • Reliable collaboration with MB2001 (Hungary): Our Top Drive Rig T47 was leased to our sister company from late 2017 until mid-2025 and was deployed in various drilling projects in Hungary and Croatia. Maintenance and repairs were coordinated across company boundaries over the years – an excellent example of effective technical cooperation in practice.
  • Joint venture in Romania: When Christof MB Well (CMB) was founded in the summer of 2020, we contributed our expertise in oilfield services. At its peak, CMB operated 21 oilfield winches in Romania. Today, the number still stands at 17 – a clear sign of our customers’ continued trust.
  • Strong connection with Koller Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (KMA): Beyond our shared history, we now also share facilities at the Celle site. KMA is a key partner for the recertification of our workover units. Despite having a strong in-house technical department, the major overhauls required every ten years (on average 2.5 units per year) can only be managed in close cooperation with our sister company.
  • Portfolio expansion with Balance Point Control (BPC): Since autumn 2023, BPC has been part of the MB family, complementing our operations as a sister company with Hydraulic Workover, Snubbing and Slickline and E-Line services. While the companies operate independently, joint evaluations are carried out for larger project inquiries to identify the most efficient solutions – ultimately, the customer decides what best meets their needs.
  • Skilled personnel as a key success factor: Our European collaboration enhances the availability of experienced teams. On several oilfield hoists, for instance, we work with Romanian crews – because experience matters more than language. During peak periods, capacity gaps are flexibly covered across companies.
  • Joint presence under “MB Europe”: Since 2024, BPC and MBWS have exhibited together at GeoTHERM in Offenburg with a shared booth. Since 2025, we have been joined there by KMA under the “MB Europe” banner, showcasing the strength of our corporate group across Europe.

A decade that proves one thing: collaboration across company and national borders creates measurable value for customers and strengthens the resilience of our organization.
