Decommissioning an oil field with little space

At the end of last year, we began decommissioning a total of around 80 boreholes in a disused oil field between Bremen and Hanover.

The very small locations and therefore the exceptionally tight space conditions on site pose a challenge. With our modern AW22 light workover rig, we not only provide our customer with a compact but also an extremely flexible winch. This enables us to carry out deconmissioning in the smallest of spaces and also save time during conversion.

Andreas Bothe, Head of Light Workover at MB Well Services, is also pleased about this: “Limited space and small conveying stations are increasingly becoming the norm. That’s why we have long since reacted and equipped some of our systems for confined spaces. Others will follow.”

Longer-term capacity utilization beyond 2024 is planned.
