Over the next three years, MB Well Services will backfill a total of 15 wells in the Altmark region – not far from its own site in Salzwedel. This continues our successful collaboration with a North German oil and gas producer from the past.

The wells to be plugged are observation, abandonment, and production wells up to a depth of 3,700 m. First, the completions will be removed and then the wells will be plugged. If necessary in individual cases, windows will be milled and separate back-pipe cementation will be applied over perforation areas to permanently secure the well.

Work has already begun. Our T49 is currently in use on the field. It will eventually be replaced by the T46, which is currently still undergoing maintenance.
